Creating robots that interact with their environments is what’s in store for your child when they engage this challenging series of projects that deploy sensors, along with the related engineering concepts & coding needed to animate ‘bots that make sense of the world.
Your child can be an inventor! Utilizing the LittleBits electronic invention system, kids will design and create useful digital inventions. Once they have their inventions finished, they’ll have the opportunity to “pitch” them Shark Tank-style to their fellow lab mates!

Now your child can deploy NXT Generation mobile robotic technology to create robots that use a range of sensors (touch, hear, see, etc.) to engage & interact with their environment & each other! Paired with a “flavor” of the age-appropriate Scratch programming language created at MIT’s Media Lab, your child can develop their critical thinking and STEAM skills as the build & code these engaging bots.
Your child will be engaged in designing & coding a range of basic adventure-style video games, including inventing their own customized characters, new worlds of mazes and awesome challenges for their avatars.

Your child can open the world of website creation for themselves, discovering the coding know-how they’ll need to build a website for their favorite team, band or show! Using Mozilla’s Thimble software and their own imaginations, kids in 3rd-5th grades will use CSS, HTML and more to develop a functional website for all to see!

Your child will put real fun into action, advancing their STEM skills while building & coding a range of moving, spinning robotic devices. . . bringing motors to life. . . setting wheels & gears into action… and more while they become familiar with both the programming language & engineering know-how they’ll need to complete each project.

Your child & their lab mates can make motors move, gears whir & sensors react when they take control of building & coding their own mobile, sensing robots! Using the LEGO EV3 robotics system & an age-appropriate coding language, they’ll discover the basics needed to transform their ideas into sensor-driven robotic creations on the go!
Now, your child can move from passive user to active creator of their own interactive, animated stories & video games. They’ll be using the age-appropriate Scratch, Jr. coding language as they explore the essential elements of story & game design.
