S.T.E.M Spells RealScience! for Your Child

Real Fun, Real Learning: It's RealScience!

Elementary and middle school school-age children-- from Kindergarten through 8th Grade-- have a natural curiosity of how their world works. They want to know how robots work, what makes video games, animated stories and apps respond to our commands, how cars propel themselves, planes soar, and what makes things fall from the sky.

Our RealScience!, Science, Engineering, Technology and Math (S.T.E.M) Learning Enrichment Lab courses and Suumer Camp programs capture your child’s natural curiosity, combining the big fun of hands-on after-school and weekend programs and an evolving curriculum that tracks both your local public school’s and New Jersey’s core curriculum standards-- Real Learning & Real Fun!.
Each RealScience! lab course and summer camp program is designed to take the everyday things that your child sees and does, and puts the science, technology, engineering and math behind it right in their hands-- Real Discovery.
During each small-group lab or summer camp session, your child will actively participate in all aspects of the project or experiment of the day, gaining insight into the world of creative engineering, the ever-growing range of uses for design and programming, the pull of gravity, the turning of gears, as well as many other areas of applied 21st Century sciences.
Your child already has the need to know. . .the tools for fulfilling this need are right at hand with RealScience!
We invite you to learn more about the Little Ivy Academy RealScience! Difference by taking a look at our current RealScience! programs just to the right, or contacting us at either 201.444.8400 or
We look forward to your child joining us for RealScience!
New Featured Program: InventionMakers!

Think about the phones we carry with us everywhere or the household appliances we use every day. Our world is wired with electronics. We cannot imagine life without these devices that someone had to imagine & make.

Now, your child can capture the creative power of making, designing and building their own electronic creations in our all new, InventionMakers after-school lab series for your K-2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th graders.

First launched during our 2016 summer camps, our InventionMakers programs open the door to hands-on digital invention. Using our age-appropriate electronics building-systems, your child will engage the invention process, from first idea to functional product!

Program Overviews

Our RealScience! after-school enrichment labs and summer camp prorgrams include:

NEW Featured Program:

(Please see the left column for more detailed information!)

AppMakers! sparks your child's imagination, developing their emerging critical-thinking and STEM/STEAM skills, as they collaborate to overcome  practical challenges while creating and programming a full range of mobile apps. Our small-group lab courses and summer camp programs provide each child hands-on opportunities to develop their HTML coding skills as they design & program their own functional smartphone apps, which they'll ultimately be able to share with friends and family on a variety of smartphone and tablet platforms, including iPhones and iPads.

Our GameMakers! programs provide your child with hands-on opportunities to actively design and program their own interactive, animated stories & video games. As they learn age-appropriate programming languages and story/game design, your child and their lab mates will move from passively playing games and stories created by others to active, engaged creators of games and stories of their own.

The Robots Are Coming!!!

Our projects-based The Robots Are Coming!!! lab courses and summer camp programs are built upon a “differentiated learning” approach, providing our students with projects that include both basic builds and more challenging enhancements that accommodate their range of skill levels--- from beginners to advanced students. Even our “advanced students-only” programs use this approach in order to provide unique opportunities for the full range of our advanced students.

Combining LEGOs, supplemented by a range of additional materials, for the engineering, plus an age-appropriate programming la
nguage—including an image-based language for the programming created at Tufts University especially for our young, elementary schoolers, and the more robust Scratch language created at MIT's cutting-edge Media Lab for our older elementary schoolers and middle schoolers-The Robots Are Coming!!! provides your child with full, hands-on access to the S.T.E.M.-based (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) world of creative engineering and programming.
