for Your 3rd-5th & 6th-8th Graders

Our all-new, 2017 RealScience! and Express Yourself! summer camp programs, created exclusively for your girls & boys who will be entering the 3rd, 4th or 5th grade or 6th, 7th or 8th grade, will actively engage their curiosity as they creatively explore the awesome marvels and tools of 21st-Century science, technology engineering & the arts (STEAM) come to life. . .


. . . with plenty of time for a mix of next-gen outdoor activities and traditional summer camp games on our park-like campuses.

 

With our Freedom to Discover approach, your child will discover a range of hands-on projects that accomodate their skill level-- from beginner to advanced-- and provide opportunites to work on different projects, even if they join us more than once this summer for the same camp program.

Summer days filled with Real hands-on discovery and Real summertime fun are here when your child joins us for Little Ivy Academy’s limited-enrollment 2017 RealScience! and Express Yourself! summer day camp programs. . .

. . . conveniently located both in the greater Ridgewood-Glen Rock area at Academy of Our Lady (AoOL) and in the heart of the Pascack Valley/Rockland County area on the campus of St. Joseph Regional High School (SJR) in Montvale.
 
You can extend you child's camp day, too! With our CarePass program, Pre-Camp Morning (7:30 am-9 am) care & our After-Camp (3 pm-6 pm) enrichment program are available throughout the summer in one convenient package.

WebDevelopers: Internet Entrepreneurs!

Program Description:
Now your child can join the ranks of web developers & entrepreneurs as they design & code their own website using HTML coding and more!  Our campers will be launching their own web-development companies where they’ll design a website for their first customer. They’ll create & code web pages, adding pictures, videos and audio, as they help their customer promote their brand and sell their products on the internet.

 

Robots: Rise to the Challenge!

Program Description:
Your child can compete for robotic supremacy as they create a variety of robots that tackle the challenges that lay before them. Each day brings your camper a new set of challenge and a new robot to build. Putting their STEM skills to work, they’ll be coding and modifying their machines to work smarter, move faster, and be stronger.


GameMakers: Arcade Creators!

Program Description: 
Now, your child can code their own fruit-chomping, alien-blasting, lane-jumping, fun! Throughout the week, your camper will use their imagination and the age-appropriate Scratch programming language. They’ll be creating worlds and inventing characters as they build & code their very own suite of arcade games. 

Eyes on Spies: International Espionage!

                                Aug. 7-11 @ SJR
Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Ages: Separate programs for campers entering 3rd-5th grade or 6th-8th grade.
Program Description:
Enter the world of international espionage as your child races against the clock to recover stolen top-secret data. Campers start the week with training in the surveillance gadgets (drones, hidden cameras & more) and spy techniques they’ll need to complete the mission. Once trained, your child and their campmates will put their skills to the test as they compete to recover the stolen data.

 

InventionMakers: Smart Living!

Program Description:
Your child can create the future as they develop their own set of inter-connected “smart” devices for home and school. Utilizing LittleBits electronic invention system, campers will create a series of devices. These inventions will use the Internet of Things (IoT) to talk to each other. This allows your camper to invent devices to make their homes and schools “smarter”.


AppMakers: App Tycoons!

Program Description:
Whether it’s sharing funny pictures with friends, or just passing time waiting for the bus, smartphone apps are our #1 choice for entertainment. Now your child can design and develop their own fun! They will create their own unique take on some of their favorite smartphone apps! Using MIT’s cutting-edge App Inventor 2, your child and their campmates will learn the process of developing an app for everyday use!

VideoMakers: The Producers!

Program Description: Your child can bring their digital movie-making to the next level as they discover the technical tips & tricks professionals use to make high-quality digital videos. Campers will script, film, and edit their own short sketches, all while learning about camera angles, green screens, special effects and more!

Welcome to Little Ivy Academy's OneApp Registration Center for our limited-enrollment 2017 Summer Crossroads summer camp programs.

The OneApp Registration form will allow you to select additional programs/sessions and register more than one of your children for as many program sessions as are available this summer.

Our Summer 2017 programs each have limited enrollment to provide your child with a robust, small-group summer day camp experience. We will process registrations on a rolling admission basis until each camp session is full. Additional registrations will be placed on a wait list, and we will contact you in the event your registration is wait-listed.
